Michael Franson
Senior Advisor
“I have had the privilege of working with families and entrepreneurs for almost forty years. The M&A process is one of the most emotionally intimate experiences in business. It is thrilling to be part of a team at the closing table when the value of their life's work is realized in a quantifiable and life-changing way. I could not have chosen a more rewarding career, and for that, I am immensely grateful.”
Mike has been advising and investing in companies for almost 40 years. He co-founded the investment banking firm, St. Charles Capital, a leading middle-market advisory firm based in Denver, later acquired by KPMG. Throughout his career, Mike has served both public and private middle-market businesses with a broad array of strategic financial advisory services, completing over 100 M&A transactions in excess of $4.0 billion in aggregate transaction value.
Mike currently serves on the board of directors of Northwest Pipe Company (NWPX), a publicly traded company and market leader in North America manufacturing large-diameter steel water transmission pipe in addition to precast concrete products and environmental equipment used in engineered water systems. Additionally, Mike has served on eleven for-profit boards, including three other public company boards.
